HIV medicines may help to cure cancer

Some medicines to treat HIV may potentially also help in the treatment of cancer. This is the conclusion of American scientists.

These are drugs that prevent viral penetration into the cells of the immune system. During the tests on mice in 2012 has been tested the ability of inhibitors CCR5 to resist malignant tumors. The tests of antiretroviral drugs in patients with cancer are scheduled for next year.

Presumably, a new type of drugs to be used in combination with anti-cancer immunotherapy, and will be effective in the treatment of colorectal cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer and prostate cancer.
